Project Details / Design brief

Modern Monochrome Bathroom. Strong lines softened with accents.

The client envisioned a space with strong lines softened with accents, to flow with the rest of the home. With the help of BrisWest’s professional designer, Rebecca Low, a monochromatic scheme was established to provide the bathroom with a strong identity.

With only one bathroom in the home, it was necessary to allow the powder room and toilet [area] to be practical and engaging for all users, including guests. The main bathroom [section] was, therefore, retained for use by the homeowners and remained their “sanctuary”.

Renovation details / What We Did

Tiles by Traditional Tiles

– 100 x 200 subway gloss

– 300 x 600 slate grey muted pattern, stacked running lengthways from door

Tapware: Black and Chrome by Millennium Tapware

Vanities and benchtopHighgrove bathrooms

– Main: 1500mm hung vanity. Four drawers. Greystone top 1500mm

– Powder: 900mm hung vanity

The tapware combination was perfect with the chrome softening the strength of the black tapware, replicated throughout the bathroom. The towel rail being large and strong was not overpowering with the eye resting on the stunning black features. Further, the vanities held their own with their size but remained sympathetic to the strong lines and black influences.

With the large format tiles and black and chrome tapware, the softening of the smaller mosaics gives the niche cutouts definition and attention. The length of the niches worked well with the long windows, ensuring cohesion.

Customer Testimonial

Wow Wow Wow I’m in love with my monochrome bathroom thanks to BrisWest Renovations.

I researched for 12 months to find the right bathroom Master Builder renovator who is a design professional, listened to what I wanted and would communicate every aspect of the renovation.

Peter and his trades are just awesome and reliable; a great bunch of people that respect you and your home.

I highly recommend BrisWest Renovations and would absolutely, with no hesitation, do another project with them.
