Project details / Design brief

The owners of this 1930’s era workers cottage wanted as many modern design elements in their bathroom renovation as possible, but keeping with the heritage/traditional style of the house.

Renovation Challenges

In older houses like this one, it is not surprising to find many alterations and modifications have been made over the years (some leave us scratching our heads!).

In this particular house, and others of a similar age, building movement often results in uneven floors and walls, which require extensive straightening before laying sheeting and tiles.

After we overcame these renovation challenges, we proceeded to create a beautiful modern bathroom with a splendid nod to the age of the house.
